So great was my surprise when I in August 2010 received an invoice for a so-called waste fee for my business. I wondered when I sit behind a screen during evenings and weekends, serunion educa and not exactly pumps waste out of the house. So I gave them a call and was recommended to apply for exemption.
I have stated that the company's activities take place exclusively online. As computers, printers, fax, etc.. is electronic waste, it is estimated that in relation to the claimed no basis for relief under this provision.
My business is of a size where I can drag a coffee machine from, the vast majority of all equipment purchased from private money, and I have not even printed my PDF book. Why not give a few years of room to grow for no fee, why not look at waste and why not consider the size of the company?

I are still fighting with waste fee. It is totally insane and I sit in exactly the same situation as you. Everything is virtual and has no waste production, but the municipality is the so retarded that they do not listen.
Fair enough - it is a new tax. But call it what it is. I am really surprised that the Danish government in the year 2011 still have not grasped that many companies on the Internet is waste-free (in the physical sense of the word).

My blood pressure rose as the conversation progressed today, but the very nice lady on the other end said that they only communicated what they had been asked. To her credit, she was actually happy and friendly to the last, very impressive if you heard what I had said at last ...

We also got our first waste fee for 3-4 years ago, and yes, as translators we produce as part of paper waste, but smoking in the paper container which we are already paying for the household and not at the recycling.
We are, however, so far been exempt from paying the fee - just by writing an email to the municipality. The collection comes every year, and I just send an email in response to the previous year's communication with the message that we want to be exempted again.
