In this regard the preservation or conservation building initiatives are intended to: Maintain and strengthen the heritage and history of the buildings, monuments and sites; Protect and ensure the buildings, monuments and heritage sites are safe and remain for the period beyond a few generations to become a reference, education and memories to the present generation and the next; Buildings, monuments and heritage sites are part of the evidence to a particular event or historical importance. He became a physical background to the story of the history that will be delivered to future generations. This historical background that will shape the face and identity of Malaysia. Heritage will be an important asset for the country, whether for education and economic returns through the tourism industry, R & D and reference dignity in the eyes of the world. Important ph&c legacy will be shared with the citizens of the world as a world heritage universal recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage List.
Melaka heritage home was built by the owner headman Abdul Ghani in Merlimau in 1894. Rehabilitation of this building ph&c in 2009 by the National Heritage Department will maintain this traditional Malay house for the next century.
